What is Krillion Unlimited?

Krillion Unlimited is the longer version of Krillion’s open-answer word game. A prompt asks you to name something in a category, and you type one example. A recognized answer earns points and sends your submarine deeper. Less obvious valid answers can earn a stronger rarity tier.

The official play link is https://krillion.me/unlimited. You can start for free in your browser without downloading an app or creating an account.

A new run currently contains 528 prompts. The name means you can keep playing beyond Daily’s seven questions without waiting for a new day. There is still a defined question bank and a final result; it is not an endless stream of generated questions. How to play Krillion Unlimited, step by step

  1. Open Unlimited and start your dive. Visit Krillion Unlimited and select Begin Unlimited Descent. Opening the lobby does not start the answer clock.
  2. Read the prompt preview. Notice exactly what kind of example the category requests. A country, city and landmark are different kinds of answer, even when they all relate to travel.
  3. Send one answer within 25 seconds. Type a clear name and select Send Signal or press Enter. Give the answer itself, rather than a sentence explaining why it fits.
  4. Read the result. An accepted answer shows its recognized name, rarity tier and points. If an entry is rejected, check the prompt and try another while the timer remains open. A timeout finishes the round without adding points.
  5. Select Dive Deeper. Review the feedback at your own pace, then move to the next prompt. Keep going through the available bank to build your run.

Unlimited has no hint button. You make the choice yourself on each round. If you are new to the format, aim for a clear, valid answer first; learning how the game recognizes names is more useful than forcing an obscure guess on every question.

How rarity affects your score and depth

Krillion rewards a valid answer that is less obvious within the category. Its six editorial tiers run from Plankton through Too Clever, Schooler, Rare and Deep Cut to One in a Krillion. Higher-scoring tiers carry the submarine farther down the depth meter.

These tiers are reviewed game-design choices. They are not live survey percentages or a measurement of how often everyone on the internet gives an answer. The same word can also behave differently under different prompts: it must belong to the category shown, and its tier is assigned within that question.

Accuracy comes before obscurity. For a category asking for a fruit, a particular fruit you know confidently is a better response than an unusual plant name you cannot place. A familiar recognized answer still earns points. You do not need the top tier to make progress.

Krillion Daily vs Unlimited

The core action stays the same: read a category, type an answer and watch the submarine descend. The main differences are session length, hint availability and the way you return to the game.

Four habits for a better Unlimited dive

  • Read every qualifier. “A tropical fruit” is narrower than “a fruit.” The more specific wording decides which names belong.
  • Keep one safe answer in mind. Use a few seconds to consider a less obvious alternative, but send the familiar option if you are unsure. A valid answer is more useful than an unsupported guess.
  • Use one concise name. Reviewed aliases and spelling variants can match a standard answer. Extra commentary or several alternatives in one entry can prevent a match.
  • Learn from the feedback. Check the recognized name and tier before moving on. The feedback screen is also a good place to take a break between timed questions; it is not another active answer window.

A real-world example can be missing from a finite answer catalog. If a reasonable name is rejected, check the exact prompt and report the prompt and answer through the contact page. The team can review omissions for future content updates.

Saved progress and the Unlimited leaderboard

Your local run is saved in the current browser. Keep using the same browser and avoid clearing its site data if you want to retain that local progress. Do not treat a browser save as a guarantee of cross-device continuity, and do not rely on leaving an active timed question to pause it.

An eligible ranked Unlimited run saves server progress after each finished round. Accepted answers add their points as you go; timeouts add no points. There is no ten-question entry requirement. Practice attempts remain outside the public rankings.

Public scores use generated aliases. Visit the Krillion Unlimited leaderboard to compare eligible runs. Unlimited scores are separate from Daily scores and from the skyward Noillirk game.

Want to reverse the challenge?

Noillirk favors familiar answers and takes a spaceship upward through a forest, clouds and changing weather. Its longer mode is at https://krillion.me/noillirk/unlimited. Read How to Play Noillirk before switching instincts.

Krillion Unlimited questions and answers

Where can I play Krillion Unlimited?

Play the official Krillion Unlimited game at https://krillion.me/unlimited. Select Begin Unlimited Descent when you are ready. The game runs in your browser and is free to play.

Is Krillion Unlimited actually endless?

No. A new run currently uses a bank of 528 prompts. Unlimited means you can play beyond the seven Daily questions without waiting for tomorrow; it is not an infinite random-question generator.

Does Unlimited have hints?

No. Unlimited has no hint button. The optional Daily Hint belongs to the seven-question Daily challenge.

Do I need to finish every question to appear on the leaderboard?

An eligible ranked Unlimited run saves progress after each finished round. Accepted answers add points immediately; timeouts add no points. You do not need to complete ten questions before a score can count. Practice attempts do not enter the leaderboard.

Are rarity tiers based on live player answers?

No. Krillion uses reviewed editorial rarity tiers, rather than live player-submission percentages. A recognized answer receives the tier assigned to it for that prompt.

Ready for your next descent?

Start with a category you can picture, send one answer you trust, and let each result teach you something. There is no need to rush through the whole bank in one sitting.
