ABOUT THE PROJECT

About Krillion

Krillion is an independent browser game about finding accurate answers that are less obvious than everyone else's first thought.

A daily open-answer challenge

Each Daily Dive presents seven open-answer prompts with a short timer. Instead of choosing from a prepared list, players type one response of their own. A valid familiar answer earns a modest result, while a valid answer from a rarer part of the response set can move the submarine deeper. Everyone receives the same daily prompts, making results easy to compare without requiring an account or public profile.

Original game design and editorial work

The interface, underwater world, prompt wording, answer groupings, scoring tiers, feedback, and supporting guides are created and maintained specifically for Krillion. Prompt banks are reviewed for clarity and answer coverage before release. The game is inspired by the broad tradition of trivia and word-association games, but it does not copy another game's question archive or scoring data.

How rarity scoring should be read

Krillion's rarity tiers are editorial game categories, not claims about statistically measured answers from the entire population. They are designed to reward specificity, recall, and surprising but defensible examples. The answer catalog may be expanded or corrected as the project develops, especially when players identify a valid response that the current validator does not recognize.

Built for private, lightweight play

Daily history, preferences, and unfinished progress stay in the current browser. Krillion does not require registration and does not publish personal score profiles. Alongside the Daily Dive, the site offers a longer Unlimited run and fixed themed chapters covering books, movies, and basketball.
