Krillion Music: Find Your Next Deep Cut
Some answers are instant. Others are the deep cuts you are delighted you remembered. Krillion Music turns that little spark of recognition into a glowing underwater adventure—one record, seven questions, and a whole ocean of musical curiosity.

A music trivia game with a world of its own
Krillion Music brings the curiosity of the original Krillion word game into a dedicated music world. The questions cover recognizable names: instruments, solo artists, bands, song titles, film composers and sounds from different musical cultures. There are no multiple-choice shortcuts. Read the category, think of one fitting name, and send your answer.
The setting makes each short chapter feel like a tiny expedition. A blue submarine carries a brass gramophone through a pixel-art harbor, shell lamps glow against deep-blue water, and a spinning vinyl record keeps time beside your question. Floating bubbles, moving light and a gentle change of record carry you from one track to the next. It is the familiar Krillion spirit with a new musical personality.

How to play Krillion Music
- Choose an open record. Start with First Notes or Instrument Island. Each chapter has its own subject and seven written questions.
- Press Begin Chapter. You choose when to start. A brief preview introduces each question before the answer window opens.
- Type one name in 25 seconds. For a musical-instrument prompt, an answer such as “piano” fits. Read the qualifiers carefully; a rock band and a solo singer are different categories.
- Check the feedback, then change tracks. An accepted answer shows its recognized name, rarity tier and points. The next-track button advances the journey; you can read the feedback before continuing.
- Finish all seven rounds. Your final record shows points, accepted answers and depth, with options to replay, return to your collection or continue to the next open chapter.
Music is about remembering names, not identifying a sound clip. You can enjoy the written challenge without headphones, singing into a microphone or knowing lyrics by heart.
Nine chapters, with a new record to return for
The complete Music collection contains nine chapters and 63 questions. The first two open at launch. After that, one more chapter opens each day at 00:00 Beijing time (UTC+8), until the collection is complete. This is a shared release calendar for everyone. The chapter sleeves in the lobby show which records are available and which are still waiting.
| Record | What you will explore |
|---|---|
| 1. First Notes | Familiar instruments, voices, bands, songs, and studio discoveries. |
| 2. Instrument Island | Strings, percussion, winds, and the instruments people play around the world. |
| 3. On the Radio | Pop voices, vocal groups, and singers behind the songs on the radio. |
| 4. Band Waves | Rock bands and the singers, drummers, and bass players behind their sound. |
| 5. The Songbook | Name a song from a clearly identified artist or band. No lyric recall needed. |
| 6. World Sounds | Explore artists from different music cultures, languages, and places. |
| 7. Screen & Stage | Musicals, movie songs, opera, and the people who bring them to life. |
| 8. Rhythm Currents | From dance and hip-hop to jazz, blues, country, and classic rock albums. |
| 9. One More Song | Familiar songs with a clear title clue: love, colors, animals, cities, or numbers. |
Begin with the familiar, then wander toward a favorite artist, an instrument you have always liked, or a song title that unexpectedly comes back to you. A compact chapter gives each visit a clear beginning and a satisfying finish.
A familiar answer gets you started. A deep cut takes you further.
Krillion’s most enjoyable twist is the space between a correct answer and an unexpected correct answer. Music keeps that idea: accepted answers earn between 10 and 100 points, according to the rarity tier assigned to that prompt. Every point adds ten meters to your dive.
You do not have to reach for an obscure name on every question. Keep a reliable answer in mind, then consider an alternative you know genuinely belongs. A precise, familiar answer is a good result; a well-remembered deep cut is a little extra delight. Reviewed aliases and writing variants share the same underlying answer and score.
Rarity is editorial, rather than a live measurement of how often players submit an answer. Music also uses a finite reviewed answer catalog, so a valid real-world example can occasionally be missing. If something seems wrong, send the prompt and proposed answer through our contact page so it can be reviewed.

Seven lights, your own record, and an Encore to chase
Every finished round lights another lamp in your journey. Complete a chapter and the results screen brings forward its record, your score, your accepted-answer count and the depth you reached. Get all seven answers accepted and the record earns a Perfect Side finish, with the message “Seven tracks. No skips.”
Your collection marks completed chapters and keeps their best scores in this browser. You can revisit an open chapter, explore the next available one, copy your result or generate a result image to save and share. Keep the same browser and retain its site data if you want to preserve that local collection.
Once all nine chapters have been completed, the finale reveals the glowing Encore record. It is a celebration of the whole collection. Finishing only the two launch chapters is a good start on that journey; it does not finish the nine-record world.
Compare your Music scores
The Music leaderboard has its own chapter and mode-total views. Eligible ranked attempts appear under generated aliases; practice attempts stay outside the public ranking. Chapter completion and a high score are separate goals, so you can enjoy the whole collection while finding your own opportunities for better answers.

Krillion Music questions and answers
Where can I play Krillion Music?
The official Music mode is at https://krillion.me/music. Choose an open chapter and press Begin Chapter. It is free to play in your browser.
Is Krillion Music a guess-the-song audio game?
No. Music uses written, open-answer questions about artists, instruments, bands, songs and other music topics. You type one name that fits the prompt. Audio recognition and headphones are not required.
How many Music chapters can I play?
Music has nine chapters of seven questions, for a total collection of 63 prompts. The first two chapters open at launch, followed by one additional chapter each day at midnight Beijing time, UTC+8. The lobby shows which records are open.
Do I need a rare answer to finish a chapter?
No. Familiar accepted answers still earn points, and completing all seven rounds finishes the chapter. Rarity affects your score. The tiers are editorial assignments, not live popularity percentages.
What happens after I finish all nine chapters?
The Music finale displays the Encore record once all nine chapters have been completed. Completing only the initially open chapters does not trigger Encore. Your chapter collection and best scores are saved in the current browser.
Does Music have its own leaderboard?
Yes. Eligible ranked Music attempts use generated player aliases and a separate Music board, with chapter and mode-total views. Practice attempts do not update the public leaderboard.
