Eraly Daily & Unlimited Rankings | Krillion Journey

How Krillion Journey’s free Eraly-style Daily and Unlimited rankings work: seven year guesses, saved scores, ties and Beijing midnight updates.

An illustrated journey across historical eras

One Krillion identity, separate game boards

Journey is the year guessing game in the Krillion Unlimited collection. Your main Krillion account or guest identity also identifies your Journey runs. You do not need another account or another display name. Linking a guest identity to an account brings its records under that owner.

The scoring systems stay separate. Journey Daily, Journey Unlimited, the main rare-answer game and Noillirk have their own boards. A history score is never added to your main Krillion score. Open Journey rankings from the game lobby or the main leaderboard hub, then choose Daily or Unlimited and Today or All Time.

How Daily ranking works

Your first official Daily Journey for that Beijing date is the ranked attempt. It contains seven shared events and is worth up to 700 points. The board receives the result after all seven moments have been answered or timed out. A replay is labeled practice and does not replace the official result.

Today compares completed results for the current Beijing date. All Time adds each owner’s qualifying daily scores. Account linking merges ownership rather than awarding duplicate points: if linked identities already played the same date, one best qualifying result for that owner and date counts.

How Unlimited ranking works

Unlimited starts with three chrono-cells. Your score is saved after every completed moment, including the first answer. A timeout saves progress but adds no points. The board does not require ten answers or the end of a run. Your best official expedition counts; separate expedition scores are not added together.

Today includes expeditions that began on the current Beijing date. All Time considers your best official expedition across dates. A long run that crosses midnight keeps the date on which it started. You can finish an expedition from its feedback screen, then begin again.

Scores, exact years and tied ranks

Points determine order first. If points tie, more exact-year answers rank higher. If those also tie, the smaller accumulated year error, normalized by each event’s accuracy window, ranks higher. A timeout receives the maximum error penalty. Identical values across those criteria share a rank; the following position may be skipped.

For Daily, an exact year earns 100. Near guesses earn 85, 60, 35, 15 or 5 according to the published age-adjusted windows; timeouts earn zero. Unlimited applies the same base accuracy score and its streak multiplier, capped at four. The server checks years, deadlines and scores, so repeated delivery of an accepted answer does not award it twice.

When questions and rankings update

Daily switches at midnight in Beijing, UTC+8. This release contains 210 original, sourced event prompts arranged as 30 daily sets. Each set has seven moments from different chronological bands. No event repeats during those 30 days; the collection then rotates again. Unlimited reshuffles that same collection after every 210-event lap, avoiding an immediate repeat at the boundary.

Scores become eligible when the server saves the relevant progress. The ranking page loads when opened or when you change its mode or period. Use Refresh to request current standings. A connection warning means the browser is waiting to sync; retry it before assuming a score is missing. We do not promise a second-by-second live feed.

Why play this version?

Journey combines short daily practice with continuous expeditions, source links after every answer, your saved history and the option to switch to other Krillion Unlimited games. Its airship art, architecture layers, sound effects and Following the Years score were created for this implementation. Five scenery eras track points traveled, rather than the year of the event being asked.

The five musical arrangements share tempo and loop length. The next arrangement and landscape are prepared ahead of a crossing, with bounded caches for phones. Help, Settings and backgrounding pause an active question; refreshing an unpaused question keeps its original deadline. These rules aim to keep mobile play comfortable while preserving saved progress.
