Eraly Free Daily & Unlimited: How to Play | Krillion

Learn Krillion’s free Eraly-style Daily and Unlimited game: seven year guesses, 210 sourced events, a 30-day rotation, expeditions and separate rankings.

An illustrated journey across historical eras

A date is the answer

Eraly is a browser history game that asks you to estimate the year of an event. Its daily format contains seven moments. Instead of choosing from a list of dates, you commit to one number. That small change makes a familiar quiz feel like placing a pin on a timeline.

Journey is the history game in the Krillion Unlimited collection. It is Krillion’s independent take on that idea. It has its own questions, artwork, daily schedule and published scoring thresholds. This page explains the Krillion version. For the original game and its current rules, visit eraly.net using the source link below.

Playing your first Daily Journey

Open Era Journey and choose Start Today’s Journey when you are ready. The timer begins only after you start. Read the whole event: a patent, a publication, a launch and an opening ceremony may refer to different years even when the subject is the same.

Enter a whole year between 1 and 2026 CE, then select GO or press Enter. You get one submitted estimate per moment. If the 25 seconds expire, the moment receives zero points and its answer is revealed. Invalid input does not spend your attempt.

A short flight animation follows your estimate before the feedback shows the true year, your estimate, the number of years early or late, and your points. Read the short explanation or open its source. Nothing starts the next question until you select Next Moment. After seven reveals, view your total out of 700 and review the sources again.

Understanding the accuracy window

An exact year earns 100 points. For approximate answers, Era Journey gives older events more room. Take the event’s age relative to 2026, divide by 100 and round up, with a minimum window of one year. Call that window W. Errors up to W, 3W, 7W and 15W earn 85, 60, 35 and 15 points. Other valid estimates earn 5.

For example, a 1969 event has W = 1: guessing one year away earns 85, while guessing three away earns 60. A 1066 event has W = 10, so a ten-year error earns 85. The rule rewards a useful sense of historical period without making every approximate date equally valuable.

Continuing in Expedition

Expedition shuffles the 210-event collection and starts you with three lives. A base score below 35 uses a life; an exact year restores one, capped at three. Consecutive base scores of at least 60 build a streak. The third strong answer gets a ×2 multiplier, the sixth ×3, and the ninth ×4. A weaker answer resets that streak.

The clock loses one second every three moments, down to a minimum of 12 seconds. A run ends when no lives remain. After all 210 events have appeared, the deck reshuffles and the expedition continues. Events do not repeat within a lap, but return in later laps; Unlimited means continuous play through this collection rather than unlimited unique historical material.

Daily dates, saving and sharing

Era Journey’s daily date changes at Beijing midnight. The collection has 210 sourced events in 30 sets of seven. A 30-day cycle contains no repeated event; it repeats afterward. Your run and accepted answers are stored on the server under your Krillion account or guest identity. Keep the same browser identity, or link it to your account for access from another signed-in device. Help, Settings and background tabs pause the question. A saved pause restores its remaining time; reloading an unpaused question keeps its original deadline, so refreshing cannot create extra answering time.

The result share text includes your score and a row of colored squares without event answers. Opening a share sheet or copying text does not mean a social post has been published. My journeys lists your latest 50 finished runs and lets you load their earlier moments and sources. Journey has separate Daily and Unlimited leaderboards, sharing your main Krillion identity. Daily counts after all seven answers; Unlimited saves and updates its board after each completed moment, including the first. Practice does not enter a board. Earlier local preview records remain on this device and are excluded from official rankings.
